Economic Research on Price Fluctuation of Pork

猪肉价格是关系到民生的大事,解决猪肉价格波动的方法有两种:短期从需求的角度出发,对猪肉消费者进行货币化补贴,在保证消费者效用水平(满足程度)不变的前提下缓解猪肉供给短缺,但这是治标不治本的方法;长期从供给的角度出发,对生猪收购实行最低限价,扶持养猪产业的发展,从根本上解决猪肉价格波动的问题。

Pork price is an important issue related to people’s livelihood. There are two ways to solve the fluctuation of pork price: In the short-term, we should monetize the subsidy to pork consumers to alleviate the shortage of pork supply under the premise of keeping the level of consumers’ utility(satisfaction) unchanged, but this is the way to cure the symptoms, not the root. In the long run, from the perspective of supply, the minimum price for pig purchase is implemented to support the development of pig industry, and fundamentally solve the problem of pork price fluctuations.
