An Overview of Chinese Documentary Industry in 2019

摘要 2019年中国纪录片生产总值和生产投入分别增长3.3%和9.4%。全年纪录电影总票房将近1.49亿元,单片票房未见奇迹,不再两极分化,而是呈梯队分布。电视台分化加剧,专业频道纷纷改革和改版,台属企业市场活力增强。新媒体成主流制播平台,市场趋暖并呈分头拓展态势,商业模式多元但还不成熟,市场体系仍不健全,OTT端发展提速。开发IP成为平台共识,用户思维增强,主题主线和美食节目占很大比重,优质内容匮乏。 The annual gross output and production input of Chinese documentary films in 2019 increased by 3.3%and 9.4%respectively,with a gross box office of nearly 149 million RMB.There was no box office miracle of a single film,nor box office in two opposing extremes,instead,they were in an echelon distribution.As to TV stations,they were undergoing a dramatic differentiation,their professional documentary channels carried out reforms and rearrangement,and enterprises subordinate to them were of higher vitality.As to new media,they have been a dominant platform for production and broadcasting,and their market was getting warmer and was in multi-directional expansion.Besides,they witnessed an accelerating growth of OTT terminals,reached a consensus over IP development,and laid more emphasis on their user-centered strategies.Nevertheless,their business models,though increasingly diversified,were not highly industrialized;their programs on current events and key issues and on delicacies,though in a large proportion,were in shortage of well-made content.
