ZHANG Xi-kui's Experience in Stranguria

张喜奎论治淋证,认为小便急、频、痛并非只是湿热实证,且多有虚证。对于反复发作、病情较久的淋证,还存在气虚、肾阳虚、肾阴不足、气阴两虚等因素,虚实夹杂,治疗以清热利湿通淋为主,忌过苦寒,适当补气理气,应当补泻兼施,而勿拘泥于清利。

ZHANG Xi-kui treats stranguria by the thinking that urgency,frequency and pain of urination are not a moist-heat syndrome but a deficiency syndrome.For the recurrent and longer stranguria,there are still many elements such as Qi deficiency,kidney Yang deficiency,insufficiency of the kidney-yin,deficiency of both Qi and Yin,intermingled deficiency and excess.Therapeutic method of treating stranguria is mainly based on clearing away heat and promoting diuresis,avoiding bitterness and coldness,invigorating Qi and regulating Qi appropriately.It is necessary to use the method of tonification and purgation in combination,and don't stick to clear away from the damp-heat.
