摘要
STEAM教育在全球范围内掀起热潮,美国公共图书馆顺应时代潮流率先开展了STEAM教育。文章对美国《图书馆杂志》(LibraryJournal) 2018年发布的五星级公共图书馆开展STEAM教育情况的调查分析,发现美国公共图书馆STEAM教育具有注重学科的整合性、加强社会实践、开展多方合作、呈现教育的公平性、重视多元素的嵌入等特点。我国公共图书馆开展STEAM教育应借鉴美国的先进经验,设计内容丰富的STEAM教育项目,打造STEAM教育项目品牌,建立健全的合作机制,重视教育公平,做好资金保障,以提升STEAM教育水平。
STEAM education has set off a worldwide wave,and American public libraries have taken the lead in developing STEAM education in line with the trend of the times.This article investigates and analyzes the implementation of STEAM education in five-star public libraries released by the Library Journal in the United States in 2018.It is found that STEAM education in American public libraries has the characteristics of paying attention to subject integration,strengthening social practice,developing multi-party cooperation,presenting the fairness of education,and emphasizing the embedding of multiple elements.To carry out STEAM education,Chinese public libraries should learn from the advanced experience of the United States,enrich and diversify the contents of STEAM education projects,build brand for STEAM education project,establish a sound cooperation mechanism,pay attention to the equity of STEAM education,and do a good job in funding guarantees,so as to improve STEAM education.
