This article ponders on the extreme conditions of human habitat during the global pandemic of coronavirus disease, in order to reveal the profound changes in the architectural conceptions of place, dwelling, people and space under the generic conditions of rapid flow and high density. This article proposes an understanding of place as three interconnected circulations: network flow, peopleplace interaction, and organism environment. This article envisages the transformation of everyday space by new technologies and argues that, under contemporary humanistic and technological conditions, architecture will become the much-needed integrator and agency of the increasingly subdivided human knowledge.
