On the Origin of the Founding of The Renaissance

五四时期是我国现代文坛社团群起的时代,《新潮》作为继《新青年》后由青年学生创办的首个现代期刊,对于新文化运动与文学革命的推动起到至关重要的作用。《新潮》杂志的创办有着众多的渊源,蔡元培教育理念的革新,为其创办提供了机遇,深受《新青年》的直接影响,以及众多北京大学师长们的直接参与指导下,得以顺利创刊。

The May 4th Movement was a time of literary societies in modern Chinese literary circles.As the first modern periodical founded by young students after the New Youth,The Renaissance played a vital role in promoting the New Culture Movement and Literary Revolution.The founding of The Renaissance had many origins.The innovation of Cai Yuanpei's educational ideas provided an opportunity for its birth.It was directly influenced by the New Youth and under the direct participation and guidance of numerous Peking University's teachers,so it was successfully launched.
