美国公共图书馆社区服务的发展及对我国公共图书馆基层服务的启示

The Development of Community Services from American Public Libraries and Its Enlightenment for Chinese Public Libraries at the Grassroots Level

加强公共图书馆基层服务,不仅是《中华人民共和国公共图书馆法》的要求,也是新时代下我国公共图书馆服务发展的重要方向。美国公共图书馆利用"转向外部"的理念和方法,创新社区服务的参与方式,积极推动社区服务的发展,较好地增强了美国公共图书馆在基层民众中的影响力和认知度。结合我国国情及经验,可从服务意识、服务内容、服务团队和宣传影响等几个角度,促进我国公共图书馆服务深入社区,进而提升我国公共图书馆基层服务的发展。

The Public Library Law of the People’s Republic of China dictates that we must strengthen the grassroots service of public libraries,which is also a priority for the development of China’s public library service system in the new era.American public libraries have taken a community-oriented approach to create the way that libraries take part in community services and facilitate the development of community services.As a result,public libraries have gained wide recognition from the people.Therefore,based on China’s national realities,the paper suggests that we must make libraries better serve communities through cultivating service awareness,expanding service contents,building service teams and strengthening publicity.That is how we can boost the development of grassroots services provided by China’s public libraries.
