Review on the Development of Chinese Classical Sword Dance--Interview with Zhang Jun

中国古典舞剑舞自创建至今已有40年。中国古典舞确立了在戏曲、武术传统器械、服饰舞蹈中,选择"一文一武,一刚一柔"的剑和水袖作为更深一步的发展方向。因此,剑舞既是中国古典舞发展到一定阶段的深化和延展,同时也是中国传统文化精神"身器合一"的臻美呈现。20世纪80年代,剑舞教材从武术剑中提炼而出,如"十六剑法""三十多个动作";20世纪90年代是对剑舞教学进行总结、反思与探讨的阶段,其核心是武术剑的"舞蹈化"以及身韵和剑舞之间系列化的课群关系;20世纪80年代初,剑舞被纳入舞蹈高等教育课程体系之中,剑舞剧目也成为舞台创作中的一种方向。经过一代代古典舞人的不断努力,在深入研习了剑舞文化、剑之身器关系等理论基础上,与教学创作实践不断滚动咬合、互相促进。现今,剑舞教学体系已相对完善,剑舞的舞台创作也日益丰富起来。在这一过程中,张军教授功不可没。几十年来,他一直致力于剑舞研究和教学创作实践,不但整理出版了多部中国古典舞剑舞影像教材,还编排了大量优秀的剑舞剧目作品。2019年2月,北京舞蹈学院学报编辑部采访了张军教授。

It has been 40 years since the founding of Chinese classical sword dance. According to the overall idea of "36 meetings",Chinese classical dance has established further development direction of choosing "hard"sword and "soft"water-sleeve from traditional opera,martial arts props and dance costumes. Therefore,sword dance is not only the deepening and extension of Chinese classical dance to a certain stage,but the perfect expression of the "integration of body and prop"in the spirit of traditional Chinese culture. In the 1980 s,the teaching materials of sword dance were extracted from martial arts sword,such as "sixteen sword techniques"and"more than thirty moves";in the 1990 s,it was a stage of summarizing,reflecting,and discussing sword dance teaching. The core was the"dance"of martial arts sword and the class relationship between body rhythm and sword dance. In the early1980 s,sword dance was incorporated into the higher dance education curriculum system,and sword dance repertoires have also become a trend in stage creation. Based on in-depth theoretical studies on sword dance culture and the relationship between sword and body,sword dance and teaching practice promote each other through continuous efforts of generations of Chinese classical dancers. Nowadays,the teaching system of sword dance has improved,and the stage creations of sword dance have become increasingly rich. Among them,Professor Zhang Jun contributed a lot. For decades,he has been dedicated to sword dance research and teaching practice,not only compiled and published a number of video teaching materials on Chinese classical dance sword,but also choreographed a large number of excellent sword dance repertoires.
