The article is devoted to the identification of the unity of Russian literature in its development from the Middle Ages to the present.The basis for this is the study of literary archetypes as constants of national culture.The article focuses on archetypes(and eternal images)which are considered in a broad philosophical and literary context.The author refers to the historical and literary genesis of the key archetypes of Russian classics of the XIX-XX centuries the roots of which go to the beginning of the formation of national culture.
