养老护理员是为老年人提供生活照料、基础护理和精神慰藉的服务人员,是未来我国养老照护的重要力量,他们的工作对老年人功能恢复、健康促进及生活质量有着非常重要的影响。中国是世界上老年人口绝对数量最多的国家,目前和未来都面临着照顾老年人的挑战,然而目前我国老年医学及养老护理发展滞后,养老护理员面临着非常大的职业困境。希望国家今后能对养老照护给予更多的政策和资金支持,家庭和社会各界对养老护理员给予更多的理解和认同,职能机构加强对养老护理员的职业技能培训,提升其职业道德和人文素养,并对考核合格的养老护理员授予职业资格。如此一来,养老护理员一定能看到新的希望,对未来发展充满期待。

Elderly caregivers who provide life care,basic care and spiritual comfort for the old people,would be an important force for elderly care in China,their work has a very important impact on the function recovery,health promotion and quality of life of the elderly.With the largest elderly population in the world in absolute numbers,China faces a challenge of providing care for the elderly both in the present and the future.However,at present,the development of gerontology and elderly care in China is lagging behind,and elderly caregivers are facing a great career dilemma.It is hoped that the national government can give more policy and financial support to the elderly care in the future,family and all sectors of society can give more understanding and recognition to elderly caregivers,functional institutions can strengthen the vocational skills training of the elderly care,improve the elderly caregivers'professional ethics and humanistic quality,and grant professional qualification to the qualified elderly caregivers.These initiatives are sure to raise new hope for elderly caregivers and make them fill with the anticipation to the future development of the elderly care.
