摘要
美国非裔作家怀特黑德的新作《地下铁道》将历史与现实相结合,把美国历史上奴隶制的残暴和主人公戏剧化的逃亡巧妙地融合在一起,形成一部讽喻美国当代政治图景的传奇故事。《地下铁道》中存在着无处不在的文学符号,它们所隐含的历史文化寓意,不仅使小说内容更加丰富多义,生动地再现了一段美国历史,抨击了曾经的奴隶制对人性的扭曲和对人类文明的颠覆,同时深刻地揭示了人性的复杂。
In The Underground Railroad,the African American writer Colson Whitehead subtly blends the reality and fiction into a legendary story to reflect the current American society and politics.There are ubiquitous literary metaphors in the novel,which convey historical and cultural implications.These literary metaphors not only make the content of the novel richer with multi-meanings,vividly show a period of American history,attack the slave system once existed in the United States which distorted human nature and subverted human civilization,but also profoundly reveal the complexity of the human nature.
