Freshman seminar can help students realize the smooth transition from middle school to university,and help stu-dents understand the research direction and characteristics of universities,which has become an indispensable important tea-ching content for many foreign and domestic universities.This paper first introduces the instructional design of freshman seminar in detail,and helps students adapt to the learning and living mode of university as soon as possible through the hybrid thematic setting and discussion-type teaching mode.Secondly,through the explanation of general topics and professional related topics,this paperhelps students master the connotation,development frontier,application field and othercontents of electronic information and related majors,and inspires the study interest and exploration spiritof students in electronic information specialty,which plays a good role in guiding professional selection,learning to explore,and creative thinking in the future.
