Breeding of Indica TGMS Line Z2028S in Rice

Z2028S是安徽省农业科学院水稻研究所利用两系不育系1892S与保持系绿三B进行杂交和回交选育而成的水稻温敏核不育系。该不育系株型紧凑,株高适中,可繁性好,不育期间败育彻底,不育性稳定,开花习性好,稻米品质优良,中抗稻瘟病、白叶枯病和稻曲病,并具有较好的配合力,2017年8月通过安徽省技术鉴定。

Derived from the cross between 1892 S and Lüsan B(a maintainer line) followed two times of backcross to Lüsan B, Z2028 S is an indica-type thermo-sensitive genic male sterile(TGMS) line in rice developed by the Rice Research Institute of Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It has a compact plant type with proper plant height. It is easy to multiply and shows complete and stable male sterility, good flowering habits, fine grain quality and moderate resistance to rice blast, bacterial leaf blight and false smut, and high combining ability. In August, 2017, it was technically identified in Anhui Province.
