Reassessing the Value of Journalism in Crisis:Journalistic Occupational Discourse in the Context of Media Transformation——A Study of 47 Suspension Statements of Newspapers

媒体转型的背景下,报纸关停成为新闻业变迁中的关键性公共事件。休刊词作为新闻组织一种特别的话语实践,蕴含着新闻社群自身对行业危机的阐释和理解。本文以"元新闻话语"为视角,以47篇休刊词作为研究对象,根据新闻组织在休刊词中对新闻业危机的定义、归因、道德评价、解决路径等问题的不同阐释,探讨新闻人如何重新思考和定位新闻职业的价值所在。

The closure of newspapers has become a key public event in the media transformation. As a special discourse practice of news organizations, the suspension statements of newspapers contain the interpretation and understanding of the industry crisis by the news community itself. This paper, from the perspective of "metajournalistic discourse", takes 47 suspension statements of newspapers as the research object, and discusses how journalists rethink and position the value of journalistic occupation through the investigation of different interpretations of the definition, attribution, moral evaluation and solution path of the crisis of journalism by news organizations.
