This paper introduces the application of LED light source in Urine Formed Elements Analyzer. According to the main characteristics of the same kind of light source in the market, the testing requirements of gray value range and gray value uniformity, through the design of the two measured data of LED light source, it is shown that the LED light source meets the requirements of the light source for the optical imaging in the Urine Formed Elements Analyzer, By comparing with pulse xenon lamp, the advantages of LED light source are summarized,the prospect and advantages of its application on such machines are pointed out.
