Water Governance and Bazi Society——Taking Zhu Hongzhang as an Example for Heqing Water Disaster

清光绪年间鹤丽总兵朱洪章担起了为鹤庆坝子开河治水的重担,他打破了知州权力控制下鹤庆坝子原有的保守的运作模式,整合利用各方资源和力量,带领亲兵及当地绅民不断克服困难,最终成功开通了南新河,治理了当地水患。

Zhu Hongzhang,general soldier of Heli during Guangxu period of the Qing,took on the heavy burden of opening the river for Heqingbazi.He broke the old conservative operation mode of Heqingbazi under the control of Zhizhou power,integrated and utilized all resources and forces,led the soldiers and local gentry to overcome the difficulties continuously,and finally successfully opened the Nanxin River and managed the local flood.
