Professor Du Huai-tang′s Experience in the Treatment of Colorectal Cancer with Dachaihu Decoction

大肠癌是常见的消化道恶性肿瘤之一,尤其是升结肠癌,具有起病隐匿,易出现梗阻及肝转移的特点,严重影响患者的生活质量和生存时间。大肠癌属于中医“肠蕈”范畴,中医药在大肠癌的治疗中具有增效减毒的作用,可明显改善患者症状,延长其生存期。全国第五批名老中医杜怀棠教授,基于“百病皆生于气”的理论,认为大肠癌基本病机是少阳枢机不利,气机阻滞,邪毒蕴结肠道,最终形成阳明腑实之证。六经辨证而言,大肠癌当属少阳阳明合病,而肝郁气滞是引起大肠癌发生肝转移的重要促动因素。因此,杜怀棠教授治疗大肠癌侧重于通降阳明腑气,调和少阳气机,取大柴胡汤通利腑气、调和三焦、畅达情志的功效,随症加减治疗大肠癌,取得了显著临床疗效。

Colorectal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors of the digestive tract.Especially,the carcinoma of ascending colon,characterized by inconspicuous onset and large rates of obstruction and hepatic metastasis,can affect the life quality and survival time of patients.Colorectal cancer belongs to the category of“lower abdominal mass”in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Du Huaitang,one of the fifth group of famous veteran doctors of TCM in China,holds the opinion that the basic pathogenesis of colorectal cancer includes the dysfunction of Shaoyang pivot mechanism.The stagnation of Qi movement,and the accumulation of pathogenic toxin in the intestinal tract,and ultimately,as a result of the above factors,excess pattern of Yangming Fu-organ occurs.According to the syndrome differentiation of the six channels,colorectal cancer should be Shaoyang-Yangming disease.However,depression and liver Qi stagnation are important driving factors for liver metastasis of colorectal cancer.Therefore,Professor Du Huaitang focuses on subduing the adverse flow of Yangming Fu-Qi and harmonizing Shaoyang Qi movement.Dachaihu decoction is effective for Tong-Fu,harmonizing Sanjiao,and regulating emotion.He used Dachaihu decoction to treat colorectal cancer,which has achieved remarkable therapeutic effect in clinic.
