Educational anthropology believes that a person’s life is a process of continuous education. For better survival and development, human beings need to participate in lifelong learning.Dewey’s“learning from doing”and situated learning theories both emphasize the learner’s subjective initiative and believe that participating in practical activities can help improve the quality of education. With the all-round development of society, the elderly in the new era have strong economic strength, strong curiosity and strong desire for knowledge. They hope to realize the value and meaning of life through participation in lifelong education.Experiential learning forms can be adopted in community geriatric education, such as talent display, study tour, club activity and practical training,to encourage the full play of learners’initiative, further enrich the form of community geriatric education, and expand the source of community education resources.
