Review of the Development of Higher Education in Tianjin since the Founding of New China

回顾新中国成立以来70年的历程,天津市高等教育在波浪起伏中不断发展。这段历史可以分为初步发展、低落时期、稳步发展、快速发展和绿色发展等五个历史时期。天津市高等教育在毛入学率和高等职业教育等方面居全国前列。在生态校园建设方面,天津市高校有分校有聚集,综合起来,聚集效益略显优势。民办高等教育无论在数量上还是在层次上都有待发展和提高。

Higher education in Tianjin has experienced ups and downs during the course of 70 years since the founding of New China.Its continuous development can be divided into five periods:the initial,the steady and the green period,just name a few.In the aspects of the gross enrolment ratios and higher vocational education,Tianjin’s higher education ranks among the tops in China.Concerning ecology campus construction,there are branch campuses and campus clusters in Tianjin with the latter exerting a better effect.At the same time,private higher education needs to be developed and improved both in quantity and in quality.
