Extracellular vesicles and osteosarcoma

细胞外囊泡(extracellular vesicles,EVs)是由细胞分泌的脂质双层纳米囊泡,内含有核酸、蛋白质和脂质等维持正常细胞生理功能和介导细胞间通讯的因子[1]。EVs异质性较大,不同的细胞分泌的EVs具有迥异的组成特点和功能[2]。

Osteosarcoma is one of the most common malignant bone tumors in children.EVs (extracellular vesicles) are released by all types of cells,including osteosarcoma cells.EVs cargo consists of various molecules(nucleic acids,proteins,lipids,and metabolites),which is critical in the intercellular communications in physiological and pathological settings.Increasing evidences suggest that EVs play a significant role in osteosarcoma development,progression,and metastasis.We describe effects and functions of osteosarcoma-derived EVs in this review.
