中国文学的南洋书写:一个值得重视的研究课题

在中国走向世界的进程中,南洋向来是一个不被注意的场域,但它却与20世纪的国人发生了难以计数的交集。南洋书写记述了中国知识分子走向世界的历程,揭示了他们与南洋交集中所具有的历史命运和民族心理,呈现出多种样态的文学价值。欲了解20世纪中国作家域外写作的全貌,不能仅仅局限于西洋书写和东洋书写,而未引起国人高度重视南洋书写恰恰是中国文学域外书写中一个十分重要的方面。可以说,中国作家的南洋书写与东洋、西洋书写一起共同构成了20世纪中国文学域外书写的完整版图。南洋书写是对中国近现代文学史中域外题材的一个重要开拓,显示了国人睁眼看世界的另一种文化心态,具有难得的丰富性和复杂性。为此,学术界应当积极加强对南洋书写的研究,努力发掘这一课题所蕴含的巨大文学价值。

Nanyang’s writing records the process of Chinese intellectuals’ going to the world,reveals the historical fate and national psychology of their communication with Nanyang,and presents various literary values. It is a very important aspect of Chinese literary writing outside the country ignored by scholars. Nanyang writing is an important exploration of foreign subjects in the history of modern Chinese literature,which shows another cultural mentality of Chinese people to see the world with their eyes open. It has a rare richness and complexity. Together with the Eastern and Western writing,Nanyang writing of Chinese writers constitutes the complete territory of the overseas writing of Chinese literature in the 20 th century. The academic community should actively strengthen the study of Nanyang writing.
