This paper discusses what the mechanism of earthquake electromagnetic effect and the phenomenon of electromagnetic disturbance are,and introduces the technical characteristics of earthquake electromagnetic disturbance monitor and the components of earthquake electromagnetic disturbance monitoring system.Through carrying out long-terms monitoring tests of earthquake electromagnetic disturbance and analyzing the captured monitoring data,the ability of monitoring earthquake electromagnetic disurbance is verified,and a new effective technical measure for short-term earthquake prediction is provided.
