“问题与主义”论战是以《新青年》为代表的新文化运动阵营在新思潮的汹涌澎湃中发生裂痕、内部分化的标志性事件。在论战中,以李大钊为代表的马克思主义传播者们,坚定了对马克思主义的信仰,在斗争中不断开辟马克思主义传播的前进道路。经此论战,曾经的同人各自坚持着主义,在各自道路上渐行渐远。论战推动了马克思主义的传播,促使新文化运动阵营产生分化,培养了马克思主义传播者们的斗争精神,使很多人认识到输入和实行主义须注意实际。这些都是论战的积极意义。
