Fat energy value is high and is widely used in animal production.Adding fat to feed can effectively improve the immune performance,reproductive performance and production performance for animals.This paper introduces the sources of fat and the classification of fatty acids,and reviews the progress on fat nutrition applicationin recent years at home and abroad,hoping provide scientific basis for fat rational application in animal production.
