Metaphorical Analysis of the Meaning of Life and Death in the Novel“The Fault in Our Stars”from the Perspective of Cognitive Poetics

小说《星运里的错》以两位青少年癌症患者相知、相爱的故事为主线,讲述了两位主人公在生命最后的时光里对于生命的重新解读与审视。本文以认知诗学为视角,对小说中的疾病与爱情故事进行隐喻分析,通过对小说中“癌症”“香烟”“悼文中的数字”的探讨,总结了正确看待生命和死亡的多维定义。

The novel“The Fault in Our Stars”takes the story of two young cancer patients who know each other and love each other as the main line,and tells the story of the two protagonists’reinterpretation and understanding of the meaning of life during the last few years of their lives.From the perspective of cognitive poetics,this paper makes a metaphorical analysis of the story of disease and love in the novel.Through the discussion of“cancer”,“cigarette”and“number in eulogy”in the novel,it summarizes the multi-dimensional definition of correctly treating life and death.
