Mistranslations in English Translating from a Pragmatic perspective

翻译活动是一种语用行为,即对语言的理解和使用的过程。英语翻译中语用失误是一种常见的现象,其根源在于对语言规则使用的不得体、不规范,表现为语用语言失误和社交语用失误,要规避语用失误,必须要跳出母语思维定式,弥合目的语语言习惯,嵌入目的语文化背景,才能实现翻译信息的等值转换,实现跨文化交际的目标。

Pragmatic failure,including pragmalinguistic failure and sociopragmatic failure,is often found in translating,a pragmatic behavior in which languages are construed and used basically,owing to a language user's inappropriateness in the use of linguistic rules.To avoid pragmatic failure,a translator should have to abandon his or her patterns of native language and taken the linguistic routines and cultural information of target language into consideration for successful intercultural communication and equivalent exchanges of messages during translating.
