外媒新闻在应用型本科院校英语专业翻译教学中的应用个案研究

A Case Study on the Application of Foreign Media News in Teaching Translation to English Majors in Application-oriented Universities

应用型本科院校英语专业学生英语水平总体不高,在翻译教学中需注重翻译基本理论和基本技巧的学习和应用,外媒新闻具有题材丰富、原汁原味的特点,能够激发学生翻译兴趣,通过学生翻译练习的个案研究分析,发现外媒新闻翻译能有效提高学生对翻译的认知和理解。

English majors in application-oriented universities are generally not skilled in their English.In translation course,special attention should be paid to the study and application of basic translation theories and skills.Foreign media news can arouse students’interest in translation for its wide range of subjects and native expressions.Based on the analysis of the case studies of students’translation practice,it is found that translation practice of foreign media news can effectively improve students’cognition and understanding of translation.
