下沙河故城考论

Research on the Old City of Xiashahe

位于新疆乌鲁木齐市米东区古牧地镇西北约8公里处的下沙河故城(大破城)与唐代的"俱六城"或"轮台城"无涉,也不是"乌鲁木齐旧址",而应是明代蒙古和硕特部所建之城。清乾隆年间为准噶尔汗国大台吉、宰桑噶尔藏多尔济所居,及至乾隆三十年(1765)噶尔藏多尔济及其部众调迁塔尔巴哈台后遂废弃。

The old city of Xiashahe(Dapo town),which is about eight kilometres from northwest Gumudi town,Midong District,Urumqi,has no connection with"Jvliu town"or"Luntai town"of the Tang dynasty,and it is also not"the ancient site of Urumqi city"either.However,it should be the building town of Khoshuud of Mongol trible during the Ming dynasty.It was inhabited by Garzangduorji(噶尔藏多尔济),the Grand Tayiji,Zaisan of Jegunγar-un qaγan-tu ulus in the Qianlong period,and it was abolished after Garzangduorji and its people migrated to Tarbagatay Prefecture in the 30 th year of Qianlong(1765).
