The Rapidly Increasing Psycho-Social Problems Among the Youth due to HIV/AIDS

摘要 The HIV/AIDS infected people can live healthy lives for longer if proper care and support is provided.Their immune system can be strengthened by medical treatment,healthy food,regular exercise,and peaceful rest.Emotional support and a positive attitude will help the PLWHAS to avoid mental disorders.His vulnerability is mostly in low socio-economic families.Stigma and discrimination thus surroundings HIV/AIDS makes the HIV infected people’s life more difficult and also for their families.Anxiety,stress,mental confusion,depression,memory loss can make HIV/AIDS people more vulnerable to illness if they do not secure any kind of support.PLWHAS needs a lot of emotional,spiritual,psychological,social,physical,clinical,and nursing care,mostly the male infected persons are eligible for secure community home based care then female due to social stigma and therefore the women are denied dignity and self respect.The support groups organized by the welfare organization helped the PLWHAS in some extent to overcome the psychological problems.The Government Welfare Schemes is a hardship for the low socio-economic section in order to avail benefits.The combat of HIV/AIDS can be eradicated fully from the society by the joint ventures of all sections of people in the world.HIV positive people live in a negative psychological condition in our society;it is the responsibility of each and every individual,family,and society to provide psychological support.The major objectives of this paper are—to study the psychological situation of HIV positive patients,study the reduction of sexually transmitted diseases transmission,reduce stigma attached with disease in youth,and to study the impact of HIV/AIDS on health.
