The construction of the old campus in colleges often faces the contradiction between the improvement of teaching quality and the shortage of land resources.The campus compound can make efficient use of the land space and expand the teaching function,which is an important means of campus renewal.This paper discusses the features of this type of building in the aspects of function,space and form.It points out that the design of campus compound should not only focus on the supplement of campus function,but also create a characteristic public communication space to add new impetus to the development of school.
