This paper expounds the requirements for sound quality design in modern theatre and theatre buildings in audio engineering,and expounds the calculation and design of reverberation time for theatre buildings in order to achieve sound quality effect,the requirement of body shape,the design of plane and side of auditorium,the measures and methods of sound absorption,diffusion and insulation in auditorium.The acoustic characteristics of the sound reinforcement system in theatre buildings,the forms of sound reinforcement and the layout requirements of various loudspeakers are described.
