《黄帝内经》最先把五音理论引入医学领域,并结合五行理论,将五音纳入了其特有的五行系统。《黄帝内经》对五音的应用主要体现在五音与五脏对应、五音与运气规律对应以及借助五音进行体质分型三个方面。五音与五脏对应:《黄帝内经》明确提出了“五脏相音”一词,通过辨别五音的长短、大小、清浊的变化,推测五脏的生理状况以及病理异常情况,进而指导临床疾病的诊断以及养生。五音与运气规律:角、徵、宫、商、羽五音可代表木、火、土、金、水五运,根据五音中每一音的太、少,描述推定五运的太过或不及,阐释天地阴阳以及人体生理病理变化规律。借助五音进行体质分型:在五行分类的基础上,借助五音中每一音在原音基础上的高低将人的体质细分为25种。

In Internal Classic of Huang Di,five-tone theory was first introduced the into the medical field,and combined the five-element theory it was to incorporated into its unique five-element system.The application of the five tones in Internal Classic of Huang Di is mainly reflected in the three aspects of the correspondence between the five tones and the five organs,the correspondence between the five tones and Yun Qi,and the use of the five tones for physical classification.Correspondence between the five sounds and the five internal organs:the term of"Wu Zang Xiang Yin"was proposes clearly in Internal Classic of Huang Di.By identifying the changes in the length,size,and clarity of the five internal sounds,we can speculate on the physiological conditions and pathological abnormalities of the five Zang,and then the diagnosis of clinical diseases and Health would be guided.Five-tone and Yun Qi rules:the five-tone Jiao,Zhi,Gong,Shang and Yu represents the five Yun of Wood,Fire,Earth,Gold and Water,respectively.According to the Tai or Shao of each tone in the five-tone,the too much or too little of the five Yun is presumed and the law of Yin and Yang of the world as well as the physiological and pathological changes of the human body are to be illustrated.Physical classification is made by means of five-tone:on the basis of five-element classification,the individual's physical constitution is subdivided into 25 types based on the level of each tone in the five-tone.
