An Important Achievement in the Sinicization of Marxism:on LIU Gangji’s Practical Ontology

20世纪80年代,刘纲纪依据马克思主义唯物思想区分了物质自然和与人类社会的两个相对的范围,创造性地提出了实践本体论。他认为当涉及到包含自然和社会在内的整个世界的本体时,本体只能是自然物质,而当只涉及到与自然界有别的人类社会的本体时,本体则是以自然界为前提和基础的人类社会实践。这一观点的提出,成为该时期马克思主义哲学和美学理论中国化的主要成果之一,对建构和完善中国马克思主义哲学、马克思主义美学、实践论美学以及马克思主义文艺理论产生了重大影响,具有广泛而深远的现实意义和学术价值,是刘纲纪在当代中国哲学与美学研究上的重大贡献。

In the 1980s,Mr.LIU Gangji creatively put forward the practical ontology by distinguishing two relative scopes of the physical nature and human society based on Marxist materialism.He held ontology could only be natural substances when the ontology of the whole world(nature and society included)was involved,while the ontology was the social practice with nature as the premise and basis when it only came to the ontology of human society distinct from nature.This viewpoint has been one important achievement of the Sinicization of Marxist philosophy and aesthetic theory in that period.It has exerted great influence on the construction and improvement of Marxist philosophy,aesthetics&practical aesthetics and Marxist literary and artistic theory in China.It thus has a broad and far-reaching practical significance and academic value as LIU Gangji’s important contribution to the study of contemporary Chinese philosophy and aesthetics.
