想象北平的方法:张北海《侠隐》的风景书写

On the Landscape Narrative of the Zhang Beihai’s Novel Xia Yin

美籍华人作家张北海始终坚持将都市空间作为创作的核心,自觉将“风景意识”运用到北平叙事之中,呈现出别具一格的城市气质。其小说《侠隐》通过一段现代武侠复仇往事勾勒出旧时代的消亡,呈现出北平社会的消逝。对具有跨文化生活经验的张北海而言,其北平风景叙事具有双重意义:一在消逝的风景里寄予了乡愁别恨,二是以“他者”的身份凝视昔日熟悉的风景,通过内外视角的转换,风景成为作者建构自我身份认同的重要媒介。

Zhang Beihai,an American Chinese writer,always insists on taking urban places as the core of his creation,and consciously applies landscape consciousness to the Beijing narrative,presenting a unique urban temperament. His novel"Xia Yin"outlines the demise of the old era and shows the disappearance of Beiping society through a period of revenge of modern martial arts. For Zhang Beihai,who has cross-cultural life experience,his narration of Beiping scenery has two meanings:expressing nostalgia in the disappearing scenery;narrating the familiar scenery in the past as"the other". Through the transformation of internal and external perspectives,the scenery becomes an important medium for the author to construct his own identity.
