Objective To explore the effect of nursing risk management in nursing of first-time blood donors in schools. Methods From March 2017 to May 2018, 560 students who were the first blood donors in the blood station were selected as the research object. They were divided into control group and observation group according to the principle of average random distribution, with 280 in each group. Students in the control group were given some routine nursing care during blood donation, while students in the observation group were given nursing risk management intervention at the same time as basic care, and the incidence and satisfaction of risk events in the two groups were observed. Results The risk rate of the control group was 11.79%, and the risk rate of the observation group was 2.50%. The difference between the two was statistically significant(χ^2=6.837, P=0.032<0.05). The total effective rate of satisfaction of blood donors in the control group was 83.21%,and the total effective rate of satisfaction of blood donors in the observation group was 99.28%. The observation group was significantly higher than the control group(χ^2=8.993, P =0.039 <0.05). Conclusion Nursing risk factor management is of great significance and significant effect in the process of nursing management of students for the first time. It can significantly improve the satisfaction of blood donors and reduce the occurrence of risk events.
