5月9日上午,随着最后一对500米长钢轨在潍坊北站精准落位,潍莱高铁实现正线铺轨贯通,标志着山东省内"三横"快速铁路网的"中部通道"全线贯通,为年底开通运营奠定了坚实基础。潍坊至莱西铁路起自济青高铁潍坊北站,向东经昌邑市、平度市,终至既有的青荣城际铁路莱西北站,新建铁路长度125.7km,设计速度为350公里/小时,总投资161.33亿元。
As the last pair of 500-meter-long steel rails were accurately placed in Weifangbei Railway Station on the morning of May 9,2010,the WeifangLaixi high speed railway finally realized its main line track connection,marking the completion of the"central passage"among the"three east-west"high speed railway network in Shandong province and thus laying a solid foundation for its opening and operation at the end of this year.Three days ago,Weihai Municipal Information office announced at the press conference on May6 that the project of Laixi-Rongcheng highspeed railway was successfully approved by Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission on April 30,which is the first among Shandong’s nine planned high-speed railway projects that has been approved this year.The construction of Weifang-Laixi high speed railway and LaixiRongcheng high speed railway is of great significance to Jiaodong Peninsula in that it will not only greatly promote the integration of Jiaodong Economic Circle but also solve the long-standing problem of"central subsidence"of Jiaodong Peninsula.Because the two railways run through the central Jiaodong Peninsula,their construction will also greatly promote the development of counties and cities in the middle of Jiao dong Peninsula such as Changyi,Pingdu,Laixi,and Laiyang.
