Traditional embroidery technique is the classical technique of costume decoration and design with long history and profound cultural accumulation.The artistic characteristics and cultural connotation of traditional embroidery technique were analyzed.And it is researched on integration point,application methods,principles of traditional embroidery technique and modern casual shoes design from four aspects including embroidery materials,technique,pattern,and color according to typical problems of its application in costume design.The results provide a new direction and thinking for modern casual shoes design,and promote the integration and development of traditional embroidery skills and modern casual shoe design.
