Separation and relation of constitution and syndrome

中医体质与证候的关系一直是中医学术界关注的问题。体质与证候的分合关系是从人体本身与疾病状态两个角度对体质与证候关系的一种抽象概括。其中,“合”指体质影响与决定证候的形成及其类型、性质、转归,表现出体质与证候之间特有的内在逻辑关联;“分”是指体质与证候相对独立存在,呈现出两者不相关联的复杂局面。文章在列举体质与证候分合现象的基础上,分析其原因有四:一是体质与病邪从化与否,二是体质与疾病易发与否,三是体质与年龄时段的差异,四是治疗失误与药物耐受能力。认识体质与证候分合关系的意义在于明晰诊断名称的异同点,推动辨体、辨病、辨证的综合应用,彰显中医个体化治疗思想。

The relationship between traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)constitution and syndromes has always been a concern in the field of TCM.It can be an abstract summary of the relationship between constitution and syndrome from the perspective of the human body and the disease state.The relation,refers that constitution influences and conditions the formation of syndromes,as well as their types,properties,and outcomes,which shows a unique internal logical connection between constitution and syndromes;‘Separation’refers to the relatively independent existence of constitution and syndromes,presenting a complex situation that the two are not related.By enumerating the phenomena of constitution-syndrome separation and combination,the article analyzed the reasons for four:one was whether diseases were compliant with constitutions,the other was whether diseases were prone to occur in different constitutional background,the third was the age difference,the fourth was treatment error and drug tolerance.The significance of understanding the relationship between constitution and syndrome is to clarify the similarities and differences between the names of diagnosis,to promote the comprehensive application of distinguishing the constitution,distinguishing the disease,and distinguishing the syndrome,and to highlight the thought of individualized treatment of TCM.
