This paper introduces the concrete structure,application principle and characteristics of the shield machine articulated system and analyzes the common problems of the shield machine articulated system.Taking the hinged seal accident during the tunneling of shield tunneling machine in a subway construction section as an example,the occurrence and treatment of the hinged seal leakage accident are expounded,and the matters needing attention during the construction of shield tunneling method are summarized.It is emphasized that the construction personnel should raise the awareness of crisis,strengthen the emergency drills for emergencies,strengthen the organization and coordination of all parties involved in construction,and equip themselves with sufficient personnel,technical strength and corresponding emergency materials.
