This paper analyzes the characteristics and development trends of primary and secondary school uniforms, and expounds the requirements of contemporary school uniforms on fabric materials, and introduces the basis for selecting different materials for sports uniforms and standard school uniforms according to different seasons.It points out that the shape design of contemporary school uniforms should have school characteristics, and the fabrics used must be safe and environmentally friendly, and different raw materials should be selected according to the characteristics of different seasons to ensure comfortable wearing. The raw materials used for school uniform fabrics are mainly cotton fibers. In addition, other materials include polyester and wool blended yarn, polyester and cotton blended yarn, polyester and viscose blended yarn, and new regenerated cellulose fibers such as modal,Tencel, and bamboo fibers. Elastic spandex fabrics will also be widely used in school uniform design.
