The therapy of chronic diseases in the elderly should focus on the disease characteristics to avoid misdiagnosis. With the theory of epistemology,no disease is minor disease for elderly. We should attach great importance to any small problems of the elder's health and never take any chances.Essentially, the reaction model in senile chronic diseases is poor tolerance, easily damages balance, and abrupt changes from minor problem to major problem. On the basis of"deficiency of both Yin and Yang",the two different states are strong(Yang)and weak(Yin),and the"strong"is"relatively strong",the"weak"is"absolutely weak".Physicians should keep the principle of"maintaining body balance",to awaken the natural forces of the body for therapeutic purposes.
