Liyang Museum

《后汉书•蔡邕传》:“吴人有烧桐以爨者,邕闻火烈之声。知其良木,因请而裁为琴,果有美音,而其尾犹焦,故时人名曰焦尾琴焉。”该项目位于江苏省溧阳市燕湖公园西南角,作为城市的地标性公共建筑,介于湖水与城市之间。

The History of the Later Han Dynasty·Cai Yong Biography records a story about Cai Yong.A man in Wu state of the Later Han Dynasty cooked meals by burning paulownia wood.Cai Yong heard the popping sound of the paulownia wood in the fire and he knew it was a piece of excellent wood.So he asked for the wood and invited craftsmen to make the remains of the wood into a Qin(a sevenstringed plucked instrument).
