Reproductive performance of Guangxi Fufeng roosters of different month ages

【目的】明确不同月龄广西富凤麻公鸡间的繁殖性能差异和相关性,为其种质资源保护提供更好的配种条件,同时为种鸡生产提供参考依据。【方法】以广西富凤麻公鸡为研究对象,从精液品质、睾丸发育状况及血清激素等角度系统研究不同月龄公鸡间的繁殖性能差异和相关性,并使用不同月龄公鸡的精液对母鸡进行人工授精,孵化第9 d照蛋并统计受精率。【结果】5、8和18月龄广西富凤麻公鸡的精液体积和精子密度无显著差异(P>0.05,下同),18月龄广西富凤麻公鸡的精子活力较5和8月龄公鸡的精子活力极显著降低(P<0.01,下同),在精子畸形率方面则表现为18月龄广西富凤麻公鸡较5和8月龄公鸡极显著升高。广西富凤麻公鸡在5~8月龄期间,随着月龄的增长公鸡睾丸的体积和重量均呈上升趋势,睾丸曲细精管直径呈增粗趋势,血清睾酮含量呈上升趋势;但在8~18月龄期间,整体上表现为随着月龄的增长公鸡睾丸的体积和重量呈下降趋势,睾丸曲细精管直径逐渐变细,且血清睾酮含量急剧下降。广西富凤麻公鸡各繁殖性能指标间的相关性分析发现,血清睾酮含量与两侧睾丸总重量、精液体积与精子活力呈中等强度正相关,精子畸形率与血清睾酮含量、精子活力与精子畸形率呈强负相关。不同月龄广西富凤麻公鸡精液的受精率无显著差异。【结论】广西富凤麻公鸡在5~8月龄期间其繁殖性能随着月龄的增长而提高,但在8~18月龄期间整体上表现为繁殖性能随月龄的增长而下降。即8月龄广西富凤麻公鸡睾丸发育状况最佳,生产上可适当提高8月龄公鸡的利用率。

【Objective】To clarify the difference and correlation of reproductive performance between different age groups of Guangxi Fufeng rooster,so as to provide better reference breeding conditions for the protection of the germplasm resources of Guangxi Fufeng rooster,and provide reference for improving the production of breeders.【Method】Guangxi Fufeng rooster was as research object.Difference and correlation of reproductive performance between different age groups of Guangxi Fufeng rooster were studied through the perspectives of semen quality,testicular development and serum hormone.The hens were artificially inseminated with the sperm of the corresponding roosters at different month ages,eggs were incubated on the 9th day and fertilization rate was calculated.【Result】There was no significant difference in semen volume and sperm density among 5-,8-and 18-month-old Guangxi Fufeng roosters(P>0.05,the same below),the sperm motility of 18-month-old was extremely lower than that of 5 and 8 months old(P<0.01,the same below),in terms of sperm abnormality rate,the 18-month-old rooster was extremely higher than that of the 5-month-old rooster and the 8-month-old rooster.During 5-to 8-month-old,testicular volume and weight increased as month age increased,testicular seminiferous tubule diameter enlarged and serum testosterone content increased.During 8-to 18-month-old,as month age increased,testicular volume and weight decreased,testicular seminiferous tubule diameter became thinner and serum testosterone content dropped sharply.Correlation analysis among the reproductive traits showed that testosterone content had moderately intensive positive positive correlation with testicular weight of both sides,semen volume and sperm motility,sperm abnormality rate had intensively negative correlation with testosterone content,sperm motility and sperm abnormality rate.The fertilization rate of sperm from roosters at different month ages had no significant difference.【Conclusion】The reproductive performance of Guangxi Fufeng roosters increase during the age of 5-8 months as month age increases,but decrease during the age of 8-18 months.The testicles of 8-month-old Guangxi Fufeng roosters are in the best condition,therefore the utilization of 8 month-old roosters can be enhanced in production.
