Tannery wasterwater is one of the difficulties in wastewater treatment because of its complex composition and high concentration of pollutants.This paper briefly describes the characteristics of tannery wastewater,the source of main pollutants and their harmfulness.The methods of separate quality treatment and reuse of wastewater in each section are mainly introduced.The quality separation treatment and reuse methods of drainage in each section are summarized in order to meet the national standard of wastewater discharge from the view of environment and enterprise cost economy.
