People centered development is an important component of Xi Jinping’s thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and the product of the integration of Marxism theory and China’s socialist practice in the new era.Its major content includes:Realizing people’s interest and satisfying the people’s yearning for a better life is the goal of the development;people are the leading force of the development,and they have the initiative to determine the social development and should share its achievements;and China’s development will benefit the world.Its value in the new era is mainly reflected in that it is the generalization of the development theory of contemporary Chinese Marxism in the new era,a new expression of the essential requirements of socialism with Chinese characteristics,and guideline for the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
