英语专业研究生学术语篇评价策略的使用意识研究

The perception and variations of discourse evaluative strategies in L2 academic writing by Chinese English major MA students

本文通过对222名研究对象进行问卷调查,考察英语专业研究生二语学术写作能力发展过程中语篇评价策略的使用意识和差异,并分析使用意识与其他因素的相关关系。研究发现:二语学术语篇评价策略总体使用意识处于中等水平,具体策略的使用意识强度由高到低依次为声言责任策略、介入策略和共识策略;使用差异主要体现在模糊语使用、语篇对话性及立场多样性建构和客观立场的秉持;使用意识与英语熟练度、学术阅读频率和阅读时长、学术指导获得渠道和学术知识获取资源存在相关关系。基于生态系统理论动态观,本文试探性地讨论了相关因素之间的互动关系。

Through a questionnaire survey among 222 Chinese English major MA students,the present study explores the perception and variations of discourse evaluative strategies in L2 academic writing development and analyzes the correlational factors.Results show that the general perception of discourse evaluative strategies in L2 academic writing is at an intermediate level,and that the ranking order of the perception of use is claim commitment strategies>engagement strategies>consensus strategies.It is also found that variations include the use of hedges,the construction of dialogism and positioning,as well as objectivity,and that the correlational factors are English proficiency,the frequency and time of academic reading,the channels of academic instruction and the sources of academic knowledge.Based on a dynamism perspective of ecological systems theory,this study tentatively discusses the interaction between these factors.
