《大唐西域记》贡布加藏译本之部分翻译问题辨析

Analysis of Some Questionable Points of Gonpokyab’s Tibetan Translation of Buddhist Records of the Western World

乾隆时期蒙古族译师贡布加藏译的《大唐西域记》(藏译书名为《大唐时期所著印度志》),共十卷。该译本将汉文原文的第三、四卷与六、七卷分别合译为一卷;原文中共二十三节的全部文字省略未译,并且大量内容为摘译,且存在诸多错译问题。文章主要通过比较《大唐西域记》原文与贡布加藏译本,以藏译本问题与原文存在出入的典型例子为切入点,参考可靠的藏汉文文献对其翻译疑点进行了分析和研究,为学界今后客观地定位《大唐西域记》贡布加藏译本提供了参考。

This article conducts a comparative study between the Tibetan translation of Buddhist Records of the Western World(Datang Xiyuji)translated by Gonpokyab and its original version in Chinese.This author found some names of places and persons are mistranslated in Tibetan,and some of the directions and distance of places,sizes of places and cities,number of monks occurred in the Tibetan version shall be rectified.
