The development of Sinology in Germany has its own academic tradition and keeps close interaction with Sinologies in other countries.Therefore,Dr.Wagner,a Sinologist professor at Heidelberg University in Germany,belongs to the generation which grew up after World War II.His interaction with French and American scholars reflects the growth path of a new generation of German sinologists.This paper reviews the personal learning and research process of the famous Sinologist Professor Wagner at Heidelberg University in Germany,explores the interaction between German sinologists and American sinologists,and analyzes the development of China Studies(Sinology)in Germany at the time of English as a global working language.
