科技文本中的文化迻译--以《宇宙大爆炸之前》为例

On the Translation of the Cultural Factors in Sci-Tech Texts--A Case Study of Before the Big Bang:the Prehistory of the Universe

科技文本在传播科学思想和科学技术的同时可能附带文化倾向,科学观依附于文化观有其历史渊源。在宇宙探源的问题上,科学观与神话观、宗教观、哲学观的交织与重叠构成了人类的多维解释样态。本文以科普作家布莱恩·克莱格著(虞骏译)的《宇宙大爆炸之前》为例,剖析科技文本中科技信息与文化信息的关联特征,理析科技文本中文化因子的迻译策略,以促进科技文本中科技信息与文化思想的有效传播。

A sci-tech text possibly carries both cultural factors as well as sci-tech thoughts. There is a historical origin for the attachment of scientific views to cultural views. The author divides into four levels the cosmic origin: mythological, religious, philosophical and scientific, which constitute human multi-dimensional interpretation. This paper takes Brian Clegg’s book, Before the Big Bang: the Prehistory of the Universe(translated by Yu Jun), as an example to analyze the cultural imprints and connotation behind the author’s scientific outlook and explore the cultural compensation in the translation of sci-tech texts so as to enforce the spreading of the cultural ideas as well as sci-tech information in this kind of books.
