Terminology management is an important part of the modern translator competence system.The book A Practitioner’s Guide to Terminology Management,based on the industry model of terminology management practices in language service industry,analyses the concepts,team,workflows and technology of terminology management,with a view to spreading the knowledge and promoting terminology management competence.The present paper sketches the main contents,maps out the characteristics of the book and discusses the academic significances and practical values in relation to the research and teaching of terminology management in China.
